Desert Rain Frog ,
Breviceps macrops
An innovative and playful landscape of rehabilitation, which treats bodies of water and land ruined by mining operations and other human activity along the coasts of Namibia and South Africa. The infrastructure rejuvenates the site via bacteria that safely break down polluted waters with the help of algae. Other systems of the architecture pull from the local animal life, allowing for one of its prized yet endangered species to thrive again - the desert rain frog.
Honorable mention and publication in the LA+ Creature Journal, Fall 2021.
